CRADOCK SPA - "LOADS OF FUN IN THE SUN"

Cradock Spa is situated 5 km outside the town of Cradock next to the important Fish river opposite the beautiful Cradock Golf course.

Cradock Spa is a  hot spring with natural sulphur waters which have long been  known to have significant health benefits. The water is  believed to uplift and rejuvenate the body, the mind and  the spirit.

Cradock Spa is an asset of high economic potential and it is wholly owned by  Inxuba Yethemba Municipality.

The magnificent Mountain Zebra National Park is in the immediate vicinity of the spa. The Fish River itself offers great potential for bird watchers, nature lovers, canoe trails and those who enjoy their fishing.

Every year the Great Fish River Canoe Marathon is hosted by Cradock and the majority of the sports people who participate in the event stay at the Cradock Spa.

On 27 April 1894 gold  was discovered on the farm Befferskloof  but could not be profitably mined. A large yellow diamond was found in the vicinity of Cradock Spa early in the previous century and was set into the mayoral chain.

Cradock enjoys great weather all the year round with plenty of sunshine.  The Cradock area is very scenic, offering spectacular views and many places of interest.

Being just a small place in the country, the night skies make the stars brighter and the moon seem fuller than in the cities.
